Chairman's Cup
The Chairman's Cup was awarded to the builder of a model which best captures the visual characteristics of the full size item it represents. Models of Locomotives, Stock, Buildings and other items needed for a model railway layout were welcome. In early incarnations models had to fit a particular category, but that requirement was been removed in 2014.
Winners
The Chairman's cup has been awarded at Scaleforum since 1978. The rules have varied a little over time, but the aim has remained to award the cup to the entered model considered best in show. It is currently being rested.

Previous Winners
- 2010-2013 saw the competition awarded in a five category format
- Between 2006-2009 the competition was not organised
- 1992-2005 saw the return of judges to award the cup
- 1989-1991 saw the competition judged by show attendees
- 1983-1988 saw categories which did not distinguish between kit and scratchbuilt items
- 1979-1982 saw the introduction of categories
- In 1978 the winner was John Palmer for an S&D 3F 0-6-0 locomotive
